Waxing & Lamination Contraindications:

Lamination: Not suitable for those pregnant/breastfeeding.

Warning:

If you are taking any of the following prescription medications, you should avoid waxing services. These medications must be discontinued for at least three (3) months before undergoing waxing. The exception is Accutane; you must be off this medication for at least one (1) year before waxing.

- Accutane (Acne medication)

- Adapalene (Acne medication)

- Alustra (Retin-A)

- Avage (Similar to Tazorac – Acne medication)

- Avita (Similar to Retin-A)

- Differin (Acne medication)

- Isotretinoin (Same as Accutane)

- Renova (Similar to Retin-A)

- Retin-A (Acne and anti-aging medication)

- Tazarac (Acne medication)

- Tazarotene (Same as Tazorac)

- Tretinoin (Same as Retin-A)

*Caution:* If you are currently using any of the following, please notify your esthetician. These products can increase skin sensitivity, making it more prone to irritation and damage during waxing.

PRECAUTIONS & CONSIDERATIONS:

Please read these valuable guidelines:
• You must wait a minimum of seven (7) days before waxing after a light chemical peel or microdermabrasion.
• Women may experience extra sensitivity to waxing up to a week prior to the beginning of their period
• Sunburned or irritated areas cannot be waxed
• Moles cannot be waxed.
RECOMENDED POST WAX CARE:
• No sun for 12 hours following any waxing treatment.
• No hot baths for 24 hours following any body waxing treatment.
• No abrasive scrubs for 24 hours following a waxing treatment.

AFTERCARE FOR LAMINATION

To achieve the best results from your brow lamination treatment, it's essential to follow these aftercare guidelines for the first 24-48 hours:

1.      Keep your brows dry: Avoid water and sweating for at least 24 hours. This means no washing your face or exercising.

2.      Skip products on your brows: Do not apply makeup, skincare, or brow gels to your eyebrows for the first 24 hours.

3.      Refrain from touching your brows: Avoid rubbing or touching them during the initial recovery period.

4.      No heat near your brows: Stay away from direct heat sources like hair dryers, hot ovens, BBQs, or steam from dishwashers.

5.      Limit sun exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 48 hours post-treatment.
